Title:
Lightdm does not allow me to change session type
Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
With quantal 12.10 Ubuntu changed lightdm so that it requires more
mouse clicks with a button at the bottom to click after selecting the
session.
The problem is my list of desktop environments scrolls off the bottom
and I cannot click the bottom button (which I cannot see) to change
environments. If I click the radio button for a different desktop
environment and then the back button it does not change. This was not
a problem with lightdm in 12.04 with the same number of desktop
environments. I would add that the current lightdm uses more mouse
clicks than the previous version which seems not to be a step forward.
I could remove desktop environments but I help on many forums and need
experience with each. So I have had to change to gdm in the meantime,
but would prefer to use lightdm. I await a resolution to this problem.
