In Ubuntu 12.04 running classic-gnome this doesn't work. When you go to time and date settings (as described in http://askubuntu.com/questions/114032/ubuntu-application-to-show- calendar-with-week-numbers ) only the "time & date" tab is available - there is no "clock" tab.
