  poor alsa integration in ubuntu

  after upgrading alsa
  my alsa-info.sh script returns that alsa library still of version 1.0.5 while 
amost all alsa packages supposed to be of 1.0.25/1.0.26 versions and no package 
alsa-lib in my repository i.e. In output of dpkg -l
