Title:
Network manager is connected but reports "/" as the Access Point dbus
  object

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
NetworkManager is behaving inconsistently in my MacBook Air 13"

I am connected to an access point but NetworkManager is failing to
  provide the ActiveAccessPoint property consistently.

  /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/15 is reported as the
  ActiveConnection property of the org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.Device
interface in the only device in my machine:
  /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/0

However, the AccessPoint property of the
org.freedekstop.Device.Wireless interface of the same object, is
  reporting "/" as its value.

This happens with a very specific Access Point in the hotel I am
staying on at UDS, so I don't have much time to reproduce this.

I'm on Quantal with the latest upgrades and this is my wireless hw:

02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43224 802.11a/b/g/n (rev
01)
        Subsystem: Apple Inc. Device 00e9
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17
        Memory at a0400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
        Capabilities: <access denied>
        Kernel driver in use: bcma-pci-bridge
        Kernel modules: bcma
