There is a patch to the Intel-graphics driver in the upstream 3.8 kernel which fixes black screens on some TV's.

After installation, first boot - black screen all the time. Even with modlines i cant get an image over HDMI. Minimal installations behave the same, installation works, first boot => black. Not even the bash works. Xserver doesn't work as well (well it works but black). On Maverick an Lucid it works fine so far. If i use DVI instead, using my TFT (full HD) its works fine with Natty too.
