Title:
When using a bittorrent program, closing the lid disconnects WiFi,
regardless of any power setting.
Status in “transmission” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
When using any bit torrent application, the system will bump off of
Wifi after a period of time after the lid is closed, even if the power
setting is to do nothing while the lid is closed. The connection
doesn't even resume; the wireless switch must be flipped off and back
on to resume a connection, or a Ethernet cable attached. Standard web
browsing, HTTP downloads, Flash, etc. do not show this behavior at
all. Attempting to use a different bit torrent application does the
same result. Machine is a Dell XPS M1330 using the Broadcom chipset
with the b43 driver; the STA driver fails to work as is not not to be
compatible with the machine in question. Network being connected to
is WEP encrypted.
