This is the only major annoyance in 12.10 (64-Bit, fresh install) Having to edit all those desktop files manually an start applications by right clicking and selecting 'no global menu'. Also I would rather like to use the global menu. But GIMP and Inkscape are unusable without icons. Is there really no way to get icons AND global menu?
