Title:
  NetworkManager disturbs network bridges

Status in NetworkManager:
  Fix Released
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
When creating an ethernet bridge by manually adding the necessary
lines to /etc/network/interfaces everything works perfect, as long as
you set "Network disabled' to enabled in the nm-applet. Otherwise
network-manager will interfere by adding the same IP-address br0 is
using to eth0. Because of this you can't access the internet with
  network-manager enabled.

  Network-manager should leave bridges alone.
