Seems like I'm affected by the same bug with ubuntu 12.10 compiz 0.9.8.6 (same error messages). Turning off texture compression does not help as it was already turned off. After unity --reset-icons the bug does not reappear for the whole session. What other relevant information can I provide? Can apport-collect ne used only by the reporter of the bug? Should I file a duplicate of this bug to use apport-collect?
