I have filed a bug with upstream gtksourceview to include groovy and
gsp language files.

However for things to work automatically with gedit, I need the
groovy-mime.xml and gsp-mime.xml language files included in shared-
mime-info.
The author of this blog has kindly provided these files which I will
also attach to this issue.
