This was never a driver bug, but applications failing to use xrandr for
absolute position on multi-monitor setups.

Title:
[i945gm] Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a2] (rev 03)
Dual screen layout misplaces splash screens, panel, menu items
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I am running dual monitor, with 1600x1200 on top of 1024x768. In jaunty, all
splash screens (e.g. Open Office) were out of center in the 1600x1200, to the
left top corner (I guess, placed according to the other monitor (laptop
build-in). In karmic, they are centered, I guess, in the middle on the virtual
screen. That is, in the lower part of the 1600x1200.
Alas, karmic is worse than jaunty: The autohide top panel supposed to be at
the top of 1600x1200 is inevitably on the top of 1024x768, and 'autohides' into
the bottom of 1600x1200, where I am running an awn-panel. And from there, all
dependent menu items show dislocated from their parents. And clicking awn items
like 'files and folder' is not possible, because they disappear the moment when
the mouse moves away from the parent.
