Title:
[g33] Seems there's no video ouput and monitor goes to sleep mode
after boot screens end loading
Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: xorg
My CRT monitor goes to sleep mode after the booting screens end
loading. It happens booting from the CD or hard disk installation. I
successfully installed Lucid Lynx but with a borrowed display. After I
booted, logged in and completely loaded Ubuntu, I changed the borrowed
monitor with my monitor and it worked. My monitors works while running
Ubuntu 10.04 in failsave graphics mode (which I'm using to reporting
this bug).
My video chispset is Intel G31, and my display is DELL M770.
Is there any more info needed, please let me know.
Note: My monitor works without any problem with Ubuntu 9.04. My
monitor worked with Ubuntu 9.10 but I couldn't change the screen
resolution.
