Title:
"GStreamer core error: StateChange" with Banshee on LM14
Status in The Linux Mint Distribution:
Invalid
Bug description:
I get no sound output from Banshee 2.6.0-1ubuntu2.
When I try to play a song, it just jumps to the next track,
outputting an error on console "GStreamer core error: StateChange".
Sound does work on my system from Rhythmbox, Wine, even Flash.
Running Mint 14 i386.
I have tried both Alsa and PulseAudio sinks with gstreamer-properties.
Both report audio working in the properties window, but Banshee still
shows the error.
I have changed distros from Fedora, and my previous Home directory was
not formatted (I had /home as a separate partition). This has proven
to been an issue with a few programs, but none have been fatal or
permanent.
I did try setting up JACK audio server a few days ago, and plan to
switch to that in the future. Right now I just care about getting my
audio working with Banshee.
At the end of the log is my attempt to change the volume.
Edit: Weird. Looking at the log at 0:00:03.355589043, Banshee is still
trying to connect to the Jack server. Why? I have set Alsa as the sink
to use in gstreamer via gstreamer-properties.
