Title: plymouth doesn't shows anything Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Release: 12.04 plymouth plymouth 0.8.2-2ubuntu30 I installed plymouth and plymouth-manager, changed grub settings to make it work with nvidia X server, installed some theme and tried more times both manual and automatic mode, but it has never showed boot animation. I just see the normal ubuntu logo and a black empty screen lasting about one minute. I cannot also uninstall plymouth because it requires to uninstall many packages. it might be a probem with grub2, kernel 3.0.35, plymout, nvidia server. boh.
