Other systems are already moving in this direction with vector graphics for mouse cursors. Currently mouse cursors often come in several variants such as Chameleon-White-Large, Chameleon-White-Regular, and Chameleon-White-Small. Vector graphics could unify this to just one variant that is scalable to arbitrary size and provide more flexibility. This will also be more important as Ubuntu expands to other devices such as on 10-inch tablets and 52-inch TVs.
