Title: should handle the default session not being available Status in Light Display Manager: Fix Committed Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Status in “lightdm” source package in Oneiric: Fix Committed Status in “lightdm” package in Debian: Fix Released Bug description: Hey, there is no code right now for handling non-existing session. In Debian we set user-session=xfce by default, but some people might use it without Xfce installed. In that case, LightDM shows a blank item in the session menu. If the user logs in, it still tries to start the session, fails and goes back to the greeter. It's related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/818864 but not exactly the same thing.
