  unity icons disappear after login

  Opinion

Bug description:
  a few seconds after login into ubuntu and after the appearance of the
  unity desktop, the left and top menu bars disappear

  it happens since upgrading to 12.10 and did not happen before

  ctrl-alt-f1 + unity --reset-icons, restores the desktop for the whole
  session

  warnings are displayed when executing unity --reset-icons
