I can confirm it happens using Google Chrome and I think it happens when browsing and dragging text in THIS browser only. I haven't had a crash for a day when I switched to Firefox. Then it crashed the next day when I went back to Chrome and dragged text (yes, I unconsciously highlight and deselect text on page like in the original report :) Xorg log.old has the same stack trace for segfault.

Sometime when I drag the text briefly X will crash. The crash consistently occurs at the moment the text-drag starts or right after. I've tried to reproduce the bug intentionally but can't, but I consistently get X crashes every 5 hours or so of surfing online. I use Chromium as my browser if it's relevant. The Xorg.0.log.old has some details about a segfault at the end, I'm pretty sure that lines up with the crash.
