Title:
fails to build from source with vala 0.20
Status in Unity Greeter:
Fix Released
Status in “unity-greeter” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
I tested building unity-greeter from master today. I manually changed
valac-0.16 to valac-0.20 in debian/control. The build failed with:
make[3]: Entering directory `/«PKGBUILDDIR»/src'
VALAC unity_greeter_vala.stamp
background.vala:684.9-689.39: error: 1 missing arguments for `void
Gdk.property_change (Gdk.Window window, Gdk.Atom property, Gdk.Atom type, int
format, Gdk.PropMode mode, uint8[] data, int nelements)'
flat-button.vala:61.13-61.24: warning: Gtk.Button.pressed has been deprecated
since 2.8. Use Gtk.Widget.button_press_event
flat-button.vala:64.9-64.21: warning: Gtk.Button.released has been deprecated
since 2.8. Use Gtk.Widget.button_release_event
Compilation failed: 1 error(s), 2 warning(s)
make[3]: *** [unity_greeter_vala.stamp] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/«PKGBUILDDIR»/src'
There's a good change that vala-0.20 will be the default for Ubuntu
13.10 (it's already the default in Debian testing).
