Title:
  10de:0429 x.org freezes randomly

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xorg

Since the upgrade to Maverick my X freezes randomly. The mouse cursor
is still moveable, but the rest of the screen shows otherwise no
  reaction.

  Dmesg says:

  [ 3371.583827] [drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: PFIFO_DMA_PUSHER - Ch 2

  Xorg.log says:

[ 3382.254] [mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite
loop.

Hardware is an Lenovo T61 with an Nvidia Card:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G84M [Quadro NVS
  140M] (rev a1)

  using the Nouveau driver.

After disabling hardware accel (Kernel command line nouveau.noaccel=1)
the system is stable, but X starts to use loads of CPU (one core to
100%) after a couple of hours which makes the system more or less
  unuseable until reboot.
