Title: Tablet frequently stops working in the GIMP until mouse actibvity occurs Status in “gimp” package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: Recently, I noticed the GIMP refused to recognise tablet input for the top level menus from the menu bar associated with an image, though deeper level dialogue boxes often remain functional. (I have use the keyboard to summon them). I purged and reinstalled the GIMP to no avail. Plugging in a USB mouse, I find that the GIMP starts responding to tablet inputs (pressure sensitivity and all) for a few seconds after the mouse is used to open a top-level menu, say, then stops responding until more mouse events occur. I have a Wacom Intuos 3, and have GIMP 2.4.7-1 (/usr/bin/gimp-2.4) and Debian 5.0.8 (Lenny) with kernel 2.6.26-2-686 installed, running on a 1.5GB, 1.4Mhz PC with an Athlon processor.
