Hi. I'm plugging the tongle in an usb 2 port. I checked the rules and everything is ok too: rules for device 1446 include many other devices among witch 1436 (huawei E1692).
Well... In a certain way it works, but as I said I have to plug it twice. Quite a strange thing... Thank you! If I plug the dongle (huawei E1692) the first time nothing happens: dmesg tells me that it is just mounted as storage device and I cannot see it in the network manager. So I unplug and then plug it a second time and everything is all right: the logs tell me that it is recognized as a modem and I can connect to the internet (I see it in the network manager). The same problem on kubuntu and on ubuntu 13.10 (fresh installation, no upgrade of previous release). No problem on the previous releases.
