Title:
"the file is of an unknown type" when opening text file

Status in Launchpad itself:
  Invalid
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 10.04:
In nautilus, on an SFTP-connection: Trying to open, by right-clicking and
choosing "Open", or by double clicking, a normal text file with an unknown file
ending, nautilus reports:
"the file is of an unknown type" and gives an option to select an application
or just choose OK.
Expected result: The file should open in the default text editor.

  To reproduce:
  - open an sftp-connection in nautilus
  - right-click and select Create document > Empty file
  - give the file a name like: sljdls.ksjfghs
  - Double click the file to open it with the default action

  Regards Jonas
