Sebastien, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Thank you for your understanding. Helpful bug reporting tips: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 566433 psb driver not available on Lucid. Uses -vesa at max 1024x768 resolution ** Package changed: ubuntu => xorg (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/814583 Title: invalid screen resolution on dell mini 10 Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: After installing Ubuntu Natty on a Dell Inspirion mini 10, the screen resolution is 1024x768 instead of 1366x768 or 1024x576. The output of xrandr is: $ xrandr -q xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default Screen 0: minimum 1024 x 768, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768 default connected 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm 1024x768 0.0* $ IMHO the installer should set the resolution to 1024x576 on Dell Mini 10 laptops and xrandr should return a list of valid resolutions.
