Henning Moll, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
X freeze while scrolling certain page in firefox

Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
If i load a certain page on www.ard.de in firefox and use the scroll
wheel of the mouse to scroll the page, then its very likely that X
freezes. I am able to reproduce this within about 2 minutes.

When X freezes, its process takes 100% of the cpu. Not just firefox
does not respond. The whole desktop (gnome) does not react. But i can
  still move the mouse pointer.

So i logged in from another machine, started gdb and attached it to
the X process to gain some informations. Please find them attached
  (gdb log).

Please let me know if you need more information.
