Christopher, the laptop that I reported this bug for broke a little while back. I now use a newer Ubuntu release with a different laptop and no longer experience this bug. Given that nobody else has contributed to this bug report and I no longer experience this bug, I would be more than happy to have it closed. Thank you for your help.

You will need to configure these yourself" I ran apport-bug whilst in low graphics mode. I have observed this bug since Karmic, and it may be a duplicate of bugs #582057, #583902 or #599452.
