Bug description:
I have a Thinkpad t60p with an ati mobility firegl5200, using the
xserver-xorg-video-radeon driver. I got full resolution and compiz is
running fine, but when i start an opengl-application (for example
glxgears) the screen-refreshes are somewhat uncoordinated - when i
move the application window, the last drawn contents stay on the
screen, and when a window behind the opengl-window is updated, the
updated area is drawn on top of the opengl-window.

When i close glxgears, i get the following output:

XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0"
after 21184 requests (15003 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

Also, when i try to start a pyopengl or pyglet app, i get a
segmentation fault, though i don't know if those issues are related (i
debugged a pyglet app a bit and found out the segfault is caused in
  glGetString(GL_VENDOR) )

i was able to reproduce this behaviour on jaunty and intrepid

i would really like to investigate further into this, but i don't
really know where to start looking.
