Bart Heerman, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Screen becomes interlaced after a while

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-radeon

After a while my screen becomes interlaced. At the bottom it is worse
compared to the top. I don't have this problem when using fglrx, but
then windows aren't refreshed as they should. A bug gray area covers
the content of windows (ie in firefox, chrome, dialogs such as
appearance) but this is a different bug report. I only include it to
prove it is not a hardware problem.

My graphics card is: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI
Technologies Inc Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series

The attachment shows a picture of the screen when the problem occurs.
A screenshot obviously is not possible :-)
