Title:
fglrx Xserver crashes when kdevelop opens a specific window

Status in The Linux Mint Distribution:
  New

Bug description:
  1)
System: Linux Mint 10(Julia) Gnome 64bit

Hardware: Core 2 Quad, ATI HD 4870
  Software:
  - fglrx 2:8.780-0ubuntu2
  - xserver-xorg 1:7.5+6ubuntu3
  - kdevelop 4:4.0.2-0ubuntu2

  2)
  - start kdevelop
  - create a C++ project
  - right click on the project in the project area to the left and select
"Create Class"
A wizard pops up, guiding the user through the process. At the end the
wizard tries to open a window in which
the new class gets included into the CMakeLists.txt file - at this moment
the Xserver crashes.

  3)
The Xserver crashes, the session is lost, gdm is starting the Xserver again
to show the login prompt.

In /var/log/gdm/:0.log.1 the glesx.so module of fglrx shows up in the
  backtrace:

  4)
  Well, no crash. ;)
When using the open source driver instead no crash happens. Together with the
backtrace it makes me believe
that the fglrx part is involved.

  5)
  The crash happens always.
