Kai Jauch, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-synaptics REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Corner tap is activated on touchpad with physical buttons

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-synaptics” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

Although the touchpad on the Dell Latitude E6400 has physical buttons,
a tap on the top right corner of the touchpad simulates a middle click
and a tap on the bottom right corner simulates a right click. As the
scroll area is also on the right, one occasionally right- or middle-
taps by mistake. This should not be enabled by default.

Disabling tap actions in the mouse settings gui unfortunately also
disables normal taps simulating left-clicks anywhere on the touchpad.
