I've switched laptops 2 (soon 3) times after reporting this bug. I have no idea if it is still an issue, but it's not an issue for me on my current laptop so I guess it's fixed itself.

My laptop has a touchpad, a pointing stick, and a set of three mouse buttons for each of them. The only thing currently working is the pointing stick. Everything worked perfectly fine with Jaunty.
