I tried the 14.04 system on a virtual machine for a day - and did not have any freezes. Will try later 13.10 on a virtual machine and if I can reproduce a freeze there, then that will be a proof. On my real machine I stopped using Chrome and for a few days now have not had any freezes.

But everything worked fine. until recently i had strange problem of my display screen getting freezed randomly; but no response to either mouse/keyboard. But i want to point it out; it happens randomly and is not specific ? Other day, i had music player playing in background, but screen freezed. but my music was still running.
