Title: unity-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in dconf_engine_call_handle_reply() Status in “unity-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Dear Developers, Normal situation not happening I think this crash, but possible important. I temporary used Gnome Flashback session with Metacity window manager. I want adding system wide level with some custom keybindings with normal dconf profile, based from GNOME wiki page. Source Wiki document is following: https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/dconf/SystemAdministrators My /etc/dconf/profile/user file containing following two lines: user-db:user system-db:keybinding My /etc/dconf/db/keybinding.d/00-keybinding file containing following lines: [org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys] custom-keybindings=['/org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys/custom-keybindings/custom0/', '/org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys/custom-keybindings/custom1/'] [org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys/custom-keybindings/custom0] binding='<Super>g' command='gedit' name='Launch Gedit' [org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys/custom-keybindings/custom1] binding='<Super>r' command='libreoffice --writer' name='Launch Libreoffice Writer' When I ran dconf update command, without any error right created /etc/dconf/keybinding database file. I experiencing this crash after try logout and login again. I using standard dconf keys and values, so I don't understand why happened this crash. If not need fixing this issue in unity-settings- daemon package, please tell me what the standard way to add custom keybindings with system wide level (very interesting me this possibility with I readed from the wiki document).
