may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running

Title:
Rhythmbox iPod sync error messages cause system crash

Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Sometimes I get permission-related errors when I try to copy a lot of
  songs to my iPod Classic.

I'll look deeper into these errors myself, but the main issue is how
Rhytmbox handles these errors. It generates a new error-message window
for each song that it fails to copy. I was trying to copy 20,000
songs. All of these windows were layered ontop of each other and
Rhythmbox generated them faster than I could close them until my
  system crashed.

I'll try and report back when I have more info.
