Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Title:
When Unity dims screen during Music playback, there is a skipping of
soundtrack. e.g. same sound is heard thrice (th th th) and then song
continues again.
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Sorry but I am not a developer and therefore don't know about inside
packages used in Unity. I report this bug because I did not find this
behavior in any previous releases (10.04,10.10,11.04,11.10).
In more detail:
-Rhythmbox is playing music
-Then, I leave my computer as it so it will start to dim screen
-Finally, it will turn off the monitor. At this precise time, if rhythmbox
has "th" sound coming in the song, then the sound that comes is "th th th" and
again the song continues again without problems.
-So, in effect, whichever sound coincides with the turning off of the screen,
that sound comes out thrice with a little skipping noise. I wish I could record
it for your reference.
Please forgive if this is not really a bug and maybe performance of
Unity requires more resources.
Thanks,
Abhishek
