set the bit 8 of pin default of headphone mean the Jack have no circuit
for Jack detection and driver won't enable unsolicited event for Jack
detection and create the Jack detection control

i.e. you will lost the auto mute feature

do you mean auto mute works fine in windows ?

if you are not using pulseaudio, disable auto mute is enough

Simple mixer control 'Auto-Mute Mode',0
  Capabilities: enum
  Items: 'Disabled' 'Enabled'
  Item0: 'Enabled'

but if you are using pulseaudio which use the value of the Jack
detection control to mute/unmute the line out jack

Node 0x1b [Pin Complex] wcaps 0x40018f: Stereo Amp-In Amp-Out
  Control: name="Headphone Playback Switch", index=0, device=0
    ControlAmp: chs=3, dir=Out, idx=0, ofs=0
  Control: name="Front Headphone Jack", index=0, device=0

the easy way is to force pulseaudio not mute the front and other playback
switches
