Assuming pulsuaudio gets disabled by musescore (I assume when you try to start playing, not when installing). That is assuming similiar to in link in comment #1.
pulseaudio or audio in general is a core component of Ubuntu and shouldn't the bug be marked Critical (or at least Important)? Can anyone do that? ** Package changed: musescore (Ubuntu) => pulseaudio (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to pulseaudio in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1284273 Title: Musescore mistakenly suspends pulseaudio because of missing gawk Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: From http://musescore.org/en/node/22727 "By default Ubuntu has mawk installed instead of gawk and so Musescore suspends pulseaudio when it does not need to. A temporary fix is to install gawk, however this should work out of the box." I've created a symlink to mawk and this seems to work, pulseaudio is not suspended anymore To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1284273/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
