Explicitly running "sudo chromium-browser" is a bad idea. You don't need
root permissions to browse the web or download files.

Title:
chromium-browser cannot be executed from root account

Status in “chromium-browser” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: chromium-browser

the policy of blocking root account to execute software is exactly the
opposite of the concept of the root user.
the root user, aka administrator, could do everything on the system, of
course it will respond of the consequences.

Therefore, please add some flag to chromium to leave the
  administrators browsing the web.

  Regards,

  Vincenzo
