Title:
Poor error message when offline
Status in Chromium Browser:
Unknown
Status in “chromium-browser” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: chromium-browser
chromium-browser 5.0.307.9~r39052-0ubuntu1 on Lucid:
chromium-browser does not do a good job detecting when the user is
online/offline. If you don't have a net connection it just displays an
error page stating
"This webpage is not available.
The webpage at http://…blah… might be temporarily down or it may have moved
permanently
to a new web address.".
Firefox handles this situation much better and displays an "offline"
mode page. Would be nice if chromium had similar functionality.
