To be clear I am confirming presence with Ubuntu 14.04 but I assume it's
an underlying problem and will be present in Kubuntu as well as every
other variation.

After waking up the notebook from suspend-to-ram, the display
flickers. Restarting X doesn't help. This problem doesn't occur when
performing suspend-to-disk.
