Title: Ubuntu11.10 default un-responsive. I have to use Gnome. Status in “gnome-system-monitor” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After the 11.10 upgrade, I started Firefox and also tried to move Thunderbird upward on the launchbar. That's when the system locked- up. I cycled power and logged in again, but the system remained un- responsive, except for the mouse cursor. I cycled power again, and logged-in using classic Gnome, which works fine.
