gnome-session-flashback should not *depend* on indicator-applet, as there are people who want to use custom applets.
However, it recommends it, and recommended packages are installed by default (but it is possible to remove them later). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1423182 Title: Gnome-flashback: No (easy) way to log out Status in gnome-panel package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I just installed Ubuntu 14.10 and Cinnamon desktop. Cinnamon fails (another issue) and starts Gnome-flashback as a fallback desktop. The default Gnome has only Applications and Places menu and no way to log out or restart the computer. Workaround is to start a terminal and reboot the computer from it.
