Thunderbird 38.2.0 has been released: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/38.2.0/ https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/38.2.0/releasenotes/
I do not see any security issues fixed, but since is based on Firefox 38.2.0 I would assume there are? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to thunderbird in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1476169 Title: Update Thunderbird to 38.1.0 Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in thunderbird source package in Precise: Triaged Status in thunderbird source package in Trusty: Triaged Status in thunderbird source package in Vivid: Triaged Bug description: As Thunderbird has a different release cycle to Firefox and there is some overlap between releases, we're sticking with Thunderbird 31.* for security updates for as long as possible. We're just about to push Thunderbird 31.8.0 out as a security update to all releases. This is the last 31.* release, and so the next security update (in a few weeks) will be Thunderbird 38.2.0. However, there is some demand from users to have Thunderbird 38.1.0 before then, so I suggest we upload this to -proposed for all releases and push it out through the normal SRU process. Note, regardless of what happens with this, the security team will push Thunderbird 38.2.0 to the security pockets for all releases in a few weeks.
