Title:
Unchecking "mark message as read after xxx seconds" immediately marks
  msgs as read

Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: thunderbird

  Using:
  Ubuntu 8.04.1 "Hardy Heron"
  Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 (20080724), Package 2.0.0.16+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1

  Problem / watched behaviour:
When the option "mark message as read after xxx seconds" is unchecked, every
selected mail is marked as read immediately, even if "10" is given as the
number of seconds.

  Expected behaviour:
Unchecking this option should never mark messages automatically as read, if
they are only shown in the preview pad.

  Workaround:
Check this option and enter "9999" as the number of seconds.
