I can confirm that we are seeing the bug in chromedriver 2.30. When
running automated tests on Trusty with this package we can no longer
click buttons off screen. Would be nice to get this fixed.

Title:
chromedriver can't click links outside of the window with Chromium 61

Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
The latest version of chromium (61) introduces a change that breaks the
ability of clicking to links outside of the current view using chromedriver.
It seems that there is a fix for it in chromedriver 2.32:
  > Fixes a bug where Chromedriver fails to click due to page scrolling changes
in Chrome 61+.
