Public bug reported:
An important factor in staying consistent with the overall aesthetics of
the ubuntu design language would be to disable the use of the noise
texture on gdm to provide a seamless transition from the plymouth boot
splash onto the gdm login. Here is the override provided to fix the
inconsistency in ubuntu.css under the gnome-shell themes directory:
