Hello Vadim,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with global menus in
Thunderbird. You made this bug report in 2013 and there have been several
versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the
ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to
this bug?
If you are, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect 1234465
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.
Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

Title:
Thunderbirds global menu fails to show
Status in thunderbird package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
See attached videos - none of the menu headers, nevermind entries were
showing - until it randomly decided to appear.
The issue of the menus not showing happened and they refused to show
for a long while, so I decided to make a screencast for it then. In
the middle of the screencast, they finally appeared.
This really hinders usability of the product.
