** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist ** Package changed: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) => gnome-control- center (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899638 Title: Sound settings missing many many options. Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I did a clean install of Ubuntu 11.10. I have onboard sound (some kind of intel one). Anyway, in the sound settings, it is missing an absolute ton of options that are available via alsamixer. For example, in alsamixer I can disabled "auto-mute" (mutes the rear output when you plug headphones into the front panel), but in the sound settings GUI there is no such option. Such a shame that we are still forced to do simple things like changing the sound settings on the command line in 2011.
