Martin,

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an
issue? Can this bug report now be closed?

If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in
approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

Title:
Serious rendering issues with some Wikipedia pages, among other

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

  Problem:
Several Wikipedia pages are displayed incorrectly in Firefox4: Large empty
space with long scrollbar. Main content visible at the bottom of the page but
some content missing completely. DOCTYPE and HTML comments are invisible when
selecting View Source when Syntax highlighting is turned on.

  Steps to recreate:
To test I installed Kubuntu 11.04 in a virtual machine (Virtualbox). After
install:
  apt-get update; apt-get upgrade; apt-get install firefox
  And turned off Desktop effects.
  Visited wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambodia
Clicked "Discussion" and then "Article" and the bug was present.

  Package and OS info:
  Kubuntu 11.04
  $ apt-cache policy firefox
  firefox:
    Installed: 4.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.3

  Notes:
The firefox on the Kubuntu 11.04 live-dvd did not seem to have these problems.
Running firefox in safe-mode does not help.
On one page all text with <i>tags</i> invisible and sometimes, but not
always, produced the long scrollbar.
