We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.
Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an
issue? Can this bug report now be closed?

Large image (100MB) shows garbage instead of scaled

Bug description:
Binary package hint: firefox
Large images are normally scaled to fit the screen. When a large mono
jpeg (approx 10Mb download, 11,000x8,500 pixels) is downloaded, the
scaled image displays garbage. Clicking on the image produces a
section of a full-sized image; a second click to scale the image
produces the correct image. A redraw of the client area from the
garbage version produces the correct image.
Observed on Ubuntu 11.04 beta 2, fully updated as of 20/4/2011, 64
bit. This behaviour was not present in Ubuntu 10.04.
Sample images: anything from http://www.nailed-
barnacle.co.uk/bigimages/bigimages.html or http://www.nailed-
barnacle.co.uk/bigimages2/bigimages2.html - all fail.
